Mei’s Piano Studio Policy 2024-2025

1. Annual Registration and Fees $150

Annual registration fee: $75( This fee reserves the student’s seat for the academic year and offers a $25 discount applicable towards summer music camps. It also covers incentives, rewards, theory games, recital awards, music library materials, handouts, monthly practice competition prizes, and lesson assignment books.)
Recital fees: $40 (two recitals per year)
Extra curricular materials: $35

2. Lessons

Lessons run from September 3rd to June 13th. Four lessons are scheduled per month, with exceptions in December and June where there are three lessons and one studio recital.
The fifth week of the month is reserved for teachers' professional development or makeup lessons. Regular classes will not be scheduled.

3. Tuition

Monthly tuition: $135, payable on the first day of each month. A late fee of $1 per day will be applied to late payments.
Payment methods: Cash, online invoice payment (subject to a $5 transaction fee), or automatic payment (requires signup).

4. Makeup Lessons

Makeup lessons are available for excused absences with at least 24 hours’ notice.

5. Discontinuing Lessons

A one-month notice is required for discontinuing lessons to facilitate a smooth transition.

6. Practice Expectations

Students are encouraged to practice a minimum of 20-75 minutes daily, depending on their skill level.

7. Music

Students are responsible for purchasing their own lesson books and bringing all necessary materials, including music books and assignment notebooks, to each lesson.

8. Recitals and Performances

Students are encouraged to participate in studio recitals and other performance opportunities to build confidence and showcase progress.

9. Media Release Notice

We may feature students on our media pages or website to celebrate achievements. If you prefer your child not be included, please notify us in writing.
